Job Description
Behaviour Support Assistant, Primary School – Huddersfield. Start: ASAP. Full‑time.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
- Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement behaviour strategies
- Build positive relationships and act as a role model for pupils
- Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience supporting children with behavioural needs (schools, youth work, care or similar)
- Calm, patient, and resilient with excellent communication skills
- A team player with a positive attitude and a passion for helping children succeed
- Ability to remain consistent and fair when managing behaviour
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
