Behaviour Intervention Specialist (50% travel), Part-Time

In Your Role You Will

• Complete on site observations and assessments
• Model and test behavioural approaches through demonstration, supported practice and encouragement of independent use of behavioural interventions, in the home or community, using an 'I do, we do, you do' approach
• Complete functional assessments and develop behaviour support plans
• Develop and deliver training for caregivers in behavioural intervention approaches and procedures (e.g. proactive behaviour strategies, restrictive procedures, trauma informed approaches, specific behavioural techniques, etc.)
• Provide incident evaluation, response and debriefing supports
• Adhere to Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) best practices, CET accreditation standards, and evidence-based practices
• Represent Taproot at community meetings, conferences, and professional gatherings
