BCGEU Faculty, HVAC and Refrigeration

Position Summary

BCIT is looking for a temporary, full‑time (1.0 FTE) Faculty to join the HVAC / Refrigeration Department within the School of Energy.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Full‑time training in entry‑level refrigeration mechanics for those wishing to enter the trade.
• Full‑time training and instruction at all levels of the Refrigeration Mechanic Apprenticeship.
• Delivery of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration programs.
• Instruction of part‑time studies and microcredential courses, including Canada’s Ozone Layer Protection Program, Interprovincial exam refresher, HVAC for Building Professionals, and others.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ recent work experience as a journeyperson and Red Seal Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic.
