Job Description

I. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Supervises and operates the Battery Wrecker and Yard activities and ensures compliance with all environmental guidelines.
II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises hourly employees in the performance of their duties in the department in conformance with applicable company policy and procedures, as well as, provisions of the Labor Agreement.
Spots trucks and railroad cars when loads arrive and ensures equipment is operating safely. 
Adheres to company policies and procedures, safety regulations, EPA, and OSHA requirements while maintaining productivity standards. Conducts safety inspections of area and conducts daily and monthly safety meetings regarding hygiene and safety procedures.
Reports production flow and operational procedures to Battery Wrecker Manager. Assure that sumps are maintained in non-overflow condition. Assures that secondary containment areas are free of cracks, gaps, or cor...
