Band 2 ICU/SHDU House keeper

Role Overview

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust in Hampstead has a vacancy for a Band 2 Housekeeper. The post covers the 4th floor Intensive Care Unit and the new 3rd floor EPIC unit (SHDU and PACU). The housekeeper works alone and as part of a team in the critical care environment under the direction of the Nurse in Charge or their deputy. The focus is to support the nursing team by coordinating meals and maintaining a safe, clean, comfortable and healthy environment for patients, staff and relatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead ward services such as catering, cleaning, equipment management and supplies.
• Keep wards and staff areas clean and well‑stocked.
• Serve meals and clear away afterwards.
• Clean and stock restrooms.
• Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
• Notify managers of necessary repairs.
• Collect and dispose of refuse.
• Assist patient relatives when necessary.
