BACK-END JAVA ENGINEER

Location: Hybrid - Brighton, Burgess Hill (3 days/week)

Overview

This role focuses on building and maintaining backend microservices using modern Java (17+) and event‑driven architectures powered by Kafka. The position

involves working across distributed systems, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and containerised cloud‑native environments using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of professional Experience in Java development
  • Strong Experience designing and building microservices‑based architectures
  • Hands‑on Experience with event‑driven systems (Kafka preferred)
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and distributed systems
