Governance & Compliance — Backend Engineer

We're looking for a contract backend engineer to join the Policy & Safety domain for a 6-month engagement.

This role sits within the Governance & Compliance team, which owns the regulatory backbone of our content enforcement system. You'll be building and maintaining the services that apply jurisdiction logic, expose compliance rules to distributed teams, and ensure enforcement decisions are structured, traceable, and auditable against obligations like the DSA, UK OSA, and Australian OSA. Strong experience with API design, distributed systems, and compliance-adjacent infrastructure is a plus.
