AVP Statutory Valuation

Purpose:

The AVP of Statutory Valuation will serve as the primary operational leader for Athene’s statutory reporting function, with direct accountability for reserve accuracy and the integrity of annual statement submissions. Reporting to the Appointed Actuary, this role ensures that all statutory valuation processes are executed with precision, documented to an auditor-defensible standard, and compliant with applicable NAIC model laws, Iowa Insurance Division regulations, and NY Department of Financial Services regulations.

This position manages a team of approximately four direct reports and serves as a key point of contact for external auditors and internal stakeholders across Actuarial, Finance, Capital, IT, and Internal Audit. The role also serves as a deputy to the Appointed Actuary, providing coverage as needed.
