AVID Tutor (temporary for the 2026-2027 school year)

LOCATIONS: Multiple Secondary Schools



QUALIFICATIONS:


+ College student with a minimum of 60 hours and 2.8 G.P.A.

+ Strong Math and English background, evidenced by college transcript

+ Bachelors or Associate degree (Preferred)


REPORTS TO: AVID District Director/AVID Site Coordinator



JOB GOAL: To aid and support student s and the District by providing tutoring services to AVID elective students.



PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:


+ Determine, from student notes and discussions, the concepts that need to be reviewed.

+ Evaluate student binders, including calendars, class and textbook notes, etc.

+ Assist students in any subject area where help is needed.

+ Assist in teaching study skills and other skills needed for college preparation.

+ Conduct tutorial sessions in all areas of mathematics.
