Summary The position is located within Facilities Management Service at the Kansas City VA Medical Center and supports the Grounds and Transportation function. The purpose of the position is to independently perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, overhaul, repair, and rebuilding of gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles, grounds equipment, tractors, hydraulic systems, and small-engine equipment used in support of facility operations. Responsibilities The incumbent maintains operational readiness and safety of a wide variety of vehicles and equipment and serves as a technical resource in the maintenance and operation of grounds and snow-removal equipment.
