Automation technician

Requirements Qualified Electrician -Automation trade will be an advantage. Min 5 years as a Technician/Electrician. Min N4 electrical qualification. Read and understand Electrical drawings. Read and understand P&ID’s. Electrical and PLC fault finding (Siemens S7, Delta, Allan Bradley). Able to work on 3 phase 400 V supplies. Lead the Automation aspect of plant improvements, and on projects. PLC Programming. AC and DC Drive Set-up, programming and integration. SCADA applications development. HMI applications development. Knowledge Required Knowledge on PLC Programming (Siemens S7, Delta, Allan Bradley). Be able to do basic fault finding. AC Drives. WEG Exposure to SCADA’s. Duties Electrical fault finding. PLC (Siemens S7, Delta, Allan Bradley) programming and fault finding. Preventative maintenance (Focused on plant instrumentation).
