Autism Support Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Autism Support Worker to join our supportive team at a specialist SEND school committed to helping children and young people achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with autism and additional SEND needs
• Support students with communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents/carers to implement individual learning and behaviour plans
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
• Assist with personal care where required
• Help create a calm, structured, and engaging learning environment
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and equality at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children or young people with autism or SEND (preferred but not essential)
