Job Description

Performs complete audiological evaluations for all age groups including special evaluations. Ensures fit of amplification devices and appropriateness of rehabilitative services. Provides counseling to patients and their families.

Job Responsibility

+ Administers examinations including detailed questionnaire and battery of tests to evaluate auditory and vestibular system; reads, interprets, prepares and sends tracings to referring physician.
+ Prepares reports on diagnostic findings; ensures reports are distributed appropriately and confidentially as authorized by patient or patient's family.
+ Administers wide variety of audiological tests to determine patient's hearing level and most likely site of damage to auditory system; anticipates degree of social disability due to hearing loss, predicts potential benefits to hearing aid use and/or special training.
