**Job Description :**

**GENERAL OVERVIEW:**

Conducts evaluations of hearing and recommends treatment to improve or conserve hearing ability.

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Identify, test, diagnose and manage disorders of human hearing, balance, tinnitus; interpret results of behavioral and objective measures. (40%)
+ Counsel patients about hearing health and the possible need for treatment/management. (10%)
+ Assess the candidacy of persons with hearing loss for hearing aids and provide fitting, programming, and audiologic rehabilitation to ensure the best possible outcomes. (20%)
+ Perform assessment and nonmedical management of tinnitus. (20%)
+ Counsel and educate patients and families/caregivers on the psychosocial adjustments of hearing loss. (10%)
+ Other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

Minimum

+ Master's Degree **OR** Doctorate in Audiology
