Job Description
Overview
Leads an Aircraft Fire and Rescue crew at an airfield primarily serving rotary wing aircraft. Responsible for directing emergency crews at the scene of an emergency, conducting training sessions, and maintaining the preparedness of firefighters and EMT Basics/Paramedics for emergency responses.
Responsibilities
+ Responsible for fire suppression, rescue, and medical emergencies at assigned duty location.
+ Ensure the training and readiness of personnel to respond to emergency situations.
+ Performs all required proficiency training.
+ Leads personnel during emergency and non-emergency operations.
+ Maintain adequate resources and ensure they are maintained in proper operation and in a mission-ready state at all times.
+ Participates in daily roll call before the start of shift and any meetings requested by the Fire Chief or Designee.
