The Department of Statistics and Data Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) was founded in 1982. We have strived to provide students state-of-the-art statistical education as well as to conduct cutting-edge statistical research. The Department has accommodated world-class faculty members with diverse research areas including statistical finance and risk management science, statistical theory and methodology, machine learning & big data analytics, biostatistics and bioinformatics, and other areas of cross-disciplinary research. Various research fundings and equipment would be offered by the Department for enhancing teaching and research.
