Associate General Counsel, Claims Administration and Litigation Management

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Associate General Counsel, Claims Administration and Litigation Management.

Under the direction of the Associate General Counsel, Director of Litigation Management, Malpractice; and the SVP & Senior Counsel for Malpractice Insurance Administration, the primary responsibility of this role is to provide competent, timely and proactive legal advice in the daily handling and management of medical malpractice cases and claims, which are insured under the NYU Langone Hospitals Malpractice Insurance Program. The primary client is the Executive Vice President and Vice Dean/Chief Financial Officer. This role will directly manage and direct the day-to-day activities of the assigned claim files and outside counsel by proactively coordinating the most reasonable and strategic defenses to optimize claim handling and results.
