Assistant to General Counsel (Independence Title - Main Office)

**Independence Title** in the **Austin Area, Texas (Main Office),** a wholly owned subsidiary of Anywhere Integrated Services, is seeking an **Assistant to General Counsel.** Anywhere Integrated Services is a full-service title, settlement, underwriting and vendor management services company serving real estate companies, affinity groups, corporations and financial institutions in support of residential and commercial real estate transactions.
**The Assistant to General Counsel is responsible for:**
+ Drafting indemnities, curative instruments, affidavits, contracts, and other transactional documents for review and approval by General Counsel.
+ Reviewing and annotating vendor agreements, office leases, and other third‑party contracts.
+ Supporting company regulatory compliance, including FinCEN real estate reporting.
+ Preparing draft responses to Department of Insurance (DOI) and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) complaints.
