Assistant / Technical Superintendent

Job Description Roles & Responsibility
•Maintain vessels in safe and smooth operation, minimize downtime and ensure vessels are in excellent conditions.
•Monitor the vessel performance, shipboard maintenance and repair programs.
•Ensure the inventory level of spares / stores and other consumables onboard vessels are adequate for the smooth operation of the vessels.
•Plan and ensure classification surveys are conducted in time to maintain the validity of statutory and classification certificates.
•Conduct regular vessel inspections
•Supervise docking repairs, verify rectification of defects, and ensure the vessel is ready for operation within allocated time.
•Responsible for all aspect of safety management of assigned vessels, including the crew members, ship conditions and services.
•Provide technical support in ship-shore emergency, conduct investigation and submit reports.
