Assistant Stud Supervisor - Karaka

We are looking for a full-time/live-in Assistant Stud Supervisor to join Cambridge Stud at our Karaka Farm.

Description

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Handling foals, yearlings and racehorses
• Feeding, rugging, mucking out and general horse husbandry
• Monitoring horse health and assisting with vet treatments
• Maintaining accurate records
• Supervising staff when required
• Be available for after-hours trucks arriving

Hours: Mon to Fri 7am to 4pm, and every second weekend.

About you

• At least 3 years’ experience working on a stud or in a similar equine role
• Confident handling a range of horses, including foals, yearlings and racehorses
• Confident in administering medication and bandaging
• Knowledge of broodmare breeding cycles and care
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or in a team
