Job Description

A Werner Enterprises Final Mile Delivery Assistant Manager (or Dedicated Logistics Assistant Manager)helps oversee last-mile logistics, white-glove services, and cross-dock operations. The role bridges the gap between drivers, clients, and the corporate office to ensure efficient, safe, and on-time deliveries.

Core Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership:Assist in supervising, training, and evaluating drivers, helpers, and dispatch staff.
  • Operational Management:Oversee outbound load scheduling, routing, cross-dock activities, and manifest execution.
  • Customer Service:Act as the primary liaison between e-commerce clients, traditional brick-and-mortar stores, and the end consumer. Address and resolve delivery or scheduling issues.
  • Safety & Compliance:Enforce federal, state, and corporate safety regulations. Audit driver logs and ensure vehicle compliance.
