Job Summary

A Werner Enterprises Final Mile Delivery Assistant Manager (or Dedicated Logistics Assistant Manager) helps oversee last‑mile logistics, white‑glove services, and cross‑dock operations. The role bridges the gap between drivers, clients, and the corporate office to ensure efficient, safe, and on‑time deliveries.

Core Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising, training, and evaluating drivers, helpers, and dispatch staff.
• Oversee outbound load scheduling, routing, cross‑dock activities, and manifest execution.
• Act as the primary liaison between e‑commerce clients, traditional brick‑and‑mortar stores, and the end consumer; address and resolve delivery or scheduling issues.
• Enforce federal, state, and corporate safety regulations; audit driver logs and ensure vehicle compliance.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as on‑time delivery percentages, revenue per truck, and idle reduction.
