Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Civics Education position in the College of Education is a 12-month position located on the campus of American Village in Montevallo, AL. This position is responsible for assisting with the development and delivery of a civics curriculum using primary source documents to teach students to interpret, analyze, and understand various aspects of civics as outlined in the Alabama Course of Study and High School civics exam; assisting with the development, promotion, and implementation of programs and initiatives; building relationships with school districts and community partners; serving as a liaison between American Village and Troy University; assisting with preparation and delivery of regular progress reports; assisting with directing utilization of the ACCESS program; assisting with the organization and delivery of the Trojan Patriot Academy, and other job duties as defined by the supervisor.
