Assistant Department Manager - Substation (San Juan, PR)

**Description**

The Assistant Department Manager is responsible for the managerial direction and leadership of interns, designers and assistant-level engineers within the Substation Department of the T&D Global Practice in the Puerto Rico office. This position involves leadership and technical execution with direct involvement in projects.



Specific areas of responsibility include the following, with other duties as assigned by Substation Department Management and Senior Management:



+ Advocate for safety within the department.

+ Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to the team.

+ Coordinate team and mentor assignments of engineers with the Substation department manager, project managers and project engineers for the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff. Approve timecards and ensure that billable time goals are met.
