Job Description

Working Hours: 35 Hours per week

Key Responsibilities:
The Assistant Cook has a vital role to play, especially in the absence of a Cook. You will work with the catering team to ensure that the service meets all contractual and legislative requirements, especially in respect of health and safety regulations. The food presented will be appetising and nutritional recognising standards and cost.
The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:
Previous catering and/or cooking experience
A valid Food Hygiene Certificate or a willingness and ability to obtain this
A knowledge of different cooking methods and techniques
A knowledge of Hygiene procedures and Health and safety restrictions and requirements
Practical knowledge of cooking, food preparation and use of tools and equipment
