A fantastic opportunity to join a busy and friendly accountancy firm specialising in Tax and VAT enquiries. The role is a Finance Assistant apprenticeship, learning all aspects and processes of Finance.

Wage

£15,392 for the first year, with potential increases depending on age.

Hours and Schedule

Monday – Friday, 37 hours a week. Start date: Monday 8 June 2026. Duration: 1 year.

What You’ll Do

• Processing purchase and sales invoices.
• Reconciling bank statements.
• Managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Assisting with payroll processing.
• Communicating with clients to resolve bookkeeping queries and confirm tax liabilities.
• Dealing with HMRC to resolve queries on client payments.
• Data entry into accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
• Supporting month‑end and year‑end accounting tasks.
