Armored Vehicle Technician

**Job Description**

BAE Systems, one of the world's leading defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 company, is hiring a Tracked Vehicle Mechanic with fabrication & paint experience to work as prototype assembler on our combat vehicles. The Prototype Assembler responsibilities include:


+ Repairing & operating military track vehicles.
+ AMPV or BFV Vehicle experience desired.
+ Operation of basic fabrication & hand held tooling/machines.
+ Experience with basic drill presses, band saws, and other standard machine shop equipment a plus.
+ Systems Assembly and Integration that includes sub-component fabrication, inspection, test, vehicle maintenance and field support tasks conducted by Sterling Heights Prototype shop personnel.
+ Providing direct support to design engineering through the entire product development life cycle
+ Works from and reads engineering drawings, sketches, samples and understands & executes prototyping language & verbal ...
