:This course will explore the legal and policy challenges presented by our online digital world. The course involves an advanced study of cyber-related criminal law and procedure, focusing on how it ought to apply in the digital world. Activities such as hacking and phishing, ransomware, and data theft, will be addressed. Focused attention will be given to cryptocurrency. Jurisdictional issues and law-enforcement challenges, as well as policy factors such as privacy, online freedom of expression and protection of vulnerable groups and other interests will also be considered.Posting limited to:
