:This course offers a general overview of the law of civil procedure, reflecting existing and proposed Rules of Practice in Ontario. Substance, process, basic jurisdictional concepts, and courts' hierarchy are examined.Topics include initial consultation, originating process, service (including ex juris), pleadings, parties, joinder, set-off, counterclaims, third parties, pre-trials, summary and default proceedings, motions, judgments, costs, and appeals.
