Position

Apprentice Installation Engineer – Fire. Field‑based role covering the Dorset area, with travel required to Chichester and Reading.

Overview

The role focuses on the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire detection, fire alarm, fire panel and other fire safety equipment. Apprentices also learn about security alarms, CCTV and access control systems, gaining a mix of college learning and hands‑on mentoring at Banham Academy.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain electronic fire safety systems.
• Work with intrusion detection, CCTV and access control solutions.
• Visit a variety of sites – residential, commercial and retail – travelling and staying overnight as required.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team to develop skills leading to qualification as a fire and security engineer.
