Apprentice Grounds Maintenance Operative

Job Overview

We are seeking energetic, enthusiastic school or college leavers to join our rapidly growing landscaping business as an Apprentice Grounds Maintenance Operative. The role is a 24‑month Level 2 apprenticeship on a permanent contract, beginning immediately.

Responsibilities

• Operate mechanical lawn mowers, strimmers, leaf blowers, hedge cutters and other tools to maintain client sites.
• Control weeds through careful chemical treatment (when qualified).
• Use our scheduling and reporting app to record work performed.
• Leave work areas clean, tidy and well maintained.
• Comply with Health & Safety procedures and instructions.
• Learn about and operate sustainable working practices.
• Provide management with relevant information and reporting, including any site issues.
• Perform additional duties dependant on client site.
• Work as part of a team.
