Apprentice Engineering Technician

The Apprentice Engineering Technician will train as an Engineering Technician through a structured 3‑year apprenticeship programme covering Civil Engineering activities. The role involves planning, programming, designing and implementing projects in four key areas: general traffic management, road safety, cycling and public realm improvements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, programming and design of civil engineering projects.
• Support the implementation of projects to ensure they meet council policies and objectives.
• Attend college or university one day per week during the apprenticeship while completing work‑place training.
• Prepare reports and presentations for project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or GCSE A*‑C / 4‑9 in Maths and English, or Level 3/A Levels (eligible for Level 4).
