Appliance Mechanic

**Job Overview:**

The Appliance Mechanic will support Aptim Federal Services at Fort Benning by performing repairs on various pieces of kitchen equipment.

**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:**

+ Daily time entry.
+ Daily operation of various power/hand tools.
+ Ensure all tools and equipment are in the best working condition by conducting daily inspections and cleaning
+ Installs, services and repairs stoves, refrigerators, dishwashing machines, and other electrical household or commercial appliances.
+ Uses hand tools, test equipment and following wiring diagrams and manufacturer's specifications.
+ Connects appliance to power source and test meters, such as wattmeter, ammeter, or voltmeter, observe readings on meters and graphic recorders,
+ Examine appliance during operating cycle to detect excess vibration, overheating, fluid leaks and loose parts, and disassemble appliances and examines mechanical and electrical parts.
