The Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education is hiring a School Counsellor to lead the Comprehensive School Counselling Program. This 0.60 FTE term role requires a fully licensed teacher and advanced counselling degree.
Candidates must have a Master’s of Education in Counselling, with a school-based practicum, and a minimum of five years of related teaching experience. The school counsellor will significantly impact students' social and academic success through tailored guidance strategies and support initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design of the school counselling program
• Facilitate student and family engagement in support processes
• Document counselling interactions and outcomes
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators

Requirements:
• Holder of a valid teaching license in Nova Scotia
• Five years of teaching experience necessary
