Job Description

Sofina in Hanover, Ontario is hiring 1 (one) Animal Welfare Monitor position on the night shift in the Live Receive department.

Main Duties

• Monitor and document animal welfare conditions
• Ensure compliance to MOP Chapter 12 Regulations
• Euthanize compromised/unfit birds
• Remove snow and road slush from the bottom of the live haul trailers and scale
• Position and reposition trucks and trailers as directed
• Maintain good manufacturing practices as related to hygiene, allergen, handling and temperature control
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Successful completion of Sofina Foods humane handling
• Successful completion of Livestock Transportation course – transfer of care
• Ability to work in all environmental conditions – expo...
