Animal Care Technician & Practical Assistant

We are seeking to recruit an Animal Technician & Practical Assistant. The role involves all tasks associated with the care and husbandry of animals housed within the land-based school's collection, delivering practical instruction and guidance to learners, staff and visitors, and promoting and maintaining safe operating procedures in line with college procedures, legislation and licensing.

Responsibilities

• Care and husbandry of all animals housed within the land-based school's collection.
• Provide practical instruction and guidance to learners, staff and visitors.
• Promote and maintain safe operating procedures, complying with college procedures, legislation and licensing.
• Work safely with live animals and support the welfare of animals.
• Assist with ensuring safety of staff, learners, and visitors in animal working areas.
