Job Description:
An experienced Android Set‑Top Box (STB) System Software Lead to drive architecture, development, integration, and optimization of Android-based system software for TV/OTT devices. The ideal candidate has expertise in Android internals, embedded systems, system bring-up, performance tuning, and leading cross‑functional engineering teams.
System Software Development
- Drive customization and enhancement of Android platform components (AOSP).
- Develop and optimize STB-specific modules such as:
- Android HAL (Graphics, Audio, Tuner, DRM, Connectivity)
- Middleware for playback, CAS/DRM, DVB/ATSC/ISDB layers
- System services for remote control, UI/UX, and performance
- Experience in Android Rebasing components for security patches upgrading
- Experience in the Android certifications including GCT, Netflix , Amazon.
Integration & Debugging
- Debug complex system-level issues involving Android framework, HAL layers, and kernel.
