Job Description
TeacherActive is seeking a compassionate and committed ALN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs in a Neath primary school. This full-time role involves working closely with class teachers and the ALNCo to provide tailored support, helping every child reach their full potential.
You will support pupils 1:1 or in small groups with needs such as ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support
Adapt learning to meet individual needs
Implement IEPs and support targets
Support communication, behaviour, and social development
Work with staff to monitor progress and maintain a safe, inclusive environment
Ideal Candidate:
Relevant TA qualification (Level 2/3 desirable)
Experience with ALN pupils
Patient, empathetic, and resilient
Understanding of ASD, ADHD, or SEMH
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
