AIX Administrator

Key Responsibilities – AIX Administrator (Level )
Administer and support AIX on IBM Power systems, including system configuration, filesystem management, user administration, and OS hardening.
Own L incident management, performing advanced troubleshooting for OS, filesystem, boot, SAN‐related, and application‐impacting issues; conduct root cause analysis and resolution.
Execute AIX patching and maintenance using NIM, including TL/SP updates, OS upgrades, pre‐checks, execution, and post‐implementation validation.
Administer VIOS environments, including vSCSI/NPIV configuration, SEA networking, backups (mksysb), recovery, upgrades, and connectivity troubleshooting.
Manage and support PowerHA (HACMP) clusters, including health checks, failover/fallback activities, DR drills, and cluster issue resolution.
