Summary This AIRPLANE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR position, is located at the unit level in the Air National Guard (ANG) Aviation Wing, Operations Group at selected units in the ANG and is part of the CA 163 ATKW. Responsibilities THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION Indefinite appointment cannot exceed 5 years. Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the AIRPLANE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR, GS-2181-13, is to both personally pilot and to instruct others in the piloting of highly advanced military Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) which involves such functions as launch and recovery, surveillance, surface attack, full scale weapons employment, mortar to arm escort, killer scout, target illumination, laser targeting, functional flight tests, and flight testing.
