AIRCRAFT MECHANIC

Summary You will serve as a AIRCRAFT MECHANIC in the Maintenance Division of NAS WHIDBEY ISLAND SRCH/RESCUE. Responsibilities You will repair and or replace damaged metal, fiberglass, and fabric surfaces. You will plan for and modify basic structures to accommodate required design changes. You will remove, repair, and replace parts, accessories and components of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, flight control systems, rotor systems, and heating and ventilations systems. You will make final adjustments and settings such as cable tension, pressure settings, and flight control rod adjustments. You will perform rigging and operational checks prior to releasing aircraft to quality assurance for final inspection.
