Aircraft Issue Clerk

The **Aircraft Issue Clerk** is responsible for the issuing of aircraft to pilots in accordance with applicable procedures. Certifies issued aircraft are safe for flight.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Provides technical assistance, guidance and instruction to employees in the Organizational Maintenance Control Clerk and Data Entry Clerk classifications.
+ Performs the duties and responsibilities of the Data Entry Clerk classification.
+ Releases aircraft that are “Safe for Flight .
+ Operates two-way communication equipment to coordinate flight line operations.
+ Utilizing flight schedules designate and issue aircraft in accordance with mission requirements to scheduled instructor pilots and students.
+ Directs pilot discrepancies to appropriate maintenance personnel.
+ Assists student and instructor pilots in completion of applicable maintenance forms.
+ Maintains / reviews Aircraft Discrepancy Books (ADB) to ensure accuracy.
