Role Description

This is a commission-only, remote contract role for a Freight Agent with the ability to work anywhere in the United States of America. The Freight Agent will be responsible for creating and maintaining valuable relationships with clients and customers to establish their own book of business, in order to coordinate and manage the logistics and transportation of goods. Daily tasks include prospecting, cold calling leads, booking shipments, negotiating rates with carriers, ensuring timely delivery of cargo, and maintaining communication with clients and transportation providers. The role involves preparing and handling necessary documentation, monitoring shipment status, and resolving any issues that may arise during transit.
