1. Job duties/scope of work:

• dmits, assesses, diagnoses and formulates initial treatment plans for newly admitted patients, with attention to psychiatric, medical, substance abuse, and legal problems.
• Conducts semi-structured interviews performing comprehensive highly skilled clinical psychiatric assessments that require extensive knowledge of various medical and psychiatric conditions, complications, treatments and therapies for the purpose of eligibility determination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment delivery.
• Collects collateral information (e.g., criminal record, pre-sentence reports, previous mental health evaluations, interviews with family members, progress notes, etc.) in forming an assessment.
• Employs the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and the International Statistical Classification of Diseases (ICD) to formulate diagnosis, APA accepted references and the AMHD...
