Adult Health Promotion Project Lead

We are looking for an Adult Health Promotion Lead who will drive the design and delivery of effective health promotion (HP) and behaviour change communication (BCC) interventions for adults across Essex. This role focuses on the needs of seldom‑heard communities at increased risk of poor sexual health outcomes, including people of African or Caribbean heritage, sex workers, and gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM).

Main duties of the job

You will lead a team of Adult Health Promotion Specialists to deliver community engagement and to tackle HIV‑related stigma and discrimination while delivering targeted interventions. These initiatives will raise HIV awareness, increase testing, highlight the benefits of early diagnosis, and boost the uptake of broader sexual health services. You will also collaborate with the Youth Health Promotion Project Lead to support interventions for young people.
