Our client in the Springfield, Massachusetts area is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist for a contract opportunity. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong organizational skills, a customer-service mindset, and experience managing billing, collections, and cash application activities.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner

+ Post cash receipts and apply payments to customer accounts

+ Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances

+ Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies

+ Research and address billing questions from customers and internal teams

+ Maintain accurate account records and documentation

+ Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable

+ Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
