Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a team in Chantilly, Virginia on a Contract basis. This position focuses on processing a high volume of payables activity with accuracy, strong attention to detail, and consistent follow-through. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with invoice entry, payment processing, and account coding while supporting day-to-day financial operations. Experience with Sage Intacct is highly valued for success in this role.

Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices accurately and record payment details in the accounts payable system in a timely manner.
• Assign proper general ledger codes and verify supporting information before transactions are posted.
• Maintain organized accounts payable records and ensure data entered into financial systems is complete and accurate.
• Support ACH payments and check run activities while following established approval and payment procedures.
