Accountant, Staff

The Staff Accountant supports the Fleet accounting team by engaging in all aspects of the department's full cycle accounting process which includes: preparing journal entries during the month-end close, preparing variance explanations, working on account reconciliations and following up to resolve issues as necessary. Cross trains with others to provide adequate backup to the department. Works in conjunction with other finance and CCL business teams as required.

**Essential Functions:**

+ Prepare monthly account reconciliations and follow up to clear reconciling items.
+ Prepare journal entries and accruals during month-end closings.
+ Other duties as assigned.
+ Work with operating groups to research and explain variances to forecast and budget.
+ Assists management in preparing quarterly and annual deliverables submitted to corporate.
+ Support management in preparing required schedules for internal and external auditors.
