Accountant

Location: Hibbing, MN


Cleveland-Cliffs is looking for an Accountant to participate in monthly close activities, including preparing and recording journal entries, compiling reports, and completing assigned account reconciliations. Supports the Payroll Department by approving weekly timecards and generating reports. Collaborates closely with the Accounting Manager, Payroll, and various other departments. Must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills.


Summary of Responsibilities:
+ Perform assigned month-end accounting activities, including journal entries, reporting, and account reconciliations.
+ Provide information and support for annual external audit.
+ Track vessel and train shipments, communicate with shipping dock, and manage related payments.
+ Perform weekly timekeeping duties and provide bi-weekly reports to Payroll.
