Overview

Hillingdon Council is recruiting Accommodation Officers to support the delivery of temporary accommodation (TA) and private rented sector (PRS) services. This key operational role sits at the heart of the housing system, ensuring residents are placed in safe, suitable accommodation and that housing supply is managed effectively.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and manage placements into TA and PRS accommodation.
• Ensure properties meet required standards and compliance.
• Carry out inspections and monitor housing conditions.
• Support the management of voids, re‑lets and move‑on activity.
• Work with landlords, agents and providers to maintain supply.
• Manage tenancy and licence arrangements and resolve housing issues.
• Provide advice and support to residents to sustain accommodation.
• Ensure residents are placed in safe and suitable accommodation.
